Ascending Angels Inc.’s mission is to enable individuals to transition with dignity. It is our core belief that every individual deserves a final resting place. This final resting garden will provide peace and will strive to be affordable for all.

Our Story

For over 20 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside individuals with disabilities. Over time, these remarkable people have become more than clients—they have become part of my family. Many have little, if any, family involvement, and I’ve made it my mission to help fill that void.
Through the years, I’ve experienced the loss of several of these dear friends. Far too often, they passed without family present, and in some cases, no one to arrange a funeral or burial. I found myself stepping in to help, because the thought of someone leaving this world alone—without dignity or remembrance—was simply unacceptable. Some had no financial means to cover even the most basic funeral arrangements. For these individuals, their ashes were often left unclaimed—stored away in a drawer or on a shelf in the morgue—forgotten. This reality broke my heart. I began searching for solutions that would ensure every person could have a dignified final resting place. To my surprise, I found no affordable or compassionate options. In 2019, I met with a local cemetery, hoping to find a path forward. At the time, there were no viable options, which only deepened my determination. I kept praying, planning, and believing there had to be a better way. |
From that vision, Ascending Angels, Inc. was born. In January 2020, we became an official nonprofit with one unwavering belief: every individual deserves to transition from this life with dignity and to have a final resting place of peace.
The Ascending Angels Resting Garden will soon take shape on the grounds of a local Indiana cemetery. Once complete, it will provide a dignified resting place for approximately 2,000 individuals from across the state, including people with disabilities, individuals who have experienced homelessness, Veterans, babies, and others who have no one else to ensure they are laid to rest with care.
